Collection and use of your personal information
The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the country-specific data protection regulations applicable to Irish Jewellery Valuation Services (T/A Irish Valuations).
The website of Irish Valuations contains information that enables a quick electronic contact, as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (email address). When someone visits irishvaluations.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
For each visitor to reach irishvaluations.com, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalized content to you while you are at this Site.
Storing of your personal information
If a data subject contacts us by email or via a contact form, the personal data transmitted by the data subject are automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted on a voluntary basis by a data subject to the data controller are retained for a period of time to allow requests and services to be provided.
A copy of your valuation documents are stored for a period of up to and not exceeding six years, after which they are deleted. These valuation documents include a copy of the Valuation Report and working notes used by the valuer. You may, at any time within that six years, request a copy of your valuation report or request that it be deleted. You may, at any time within that six years, request that the valuation report is updated, on payment of the appropriate fee. The updated valuation documents will be stored for up to and not exceeding six years. Your Valuation Report will not be shared with any third party withing prior instruction from you. Working notes are exclusively used to aid the valuer in carrying out a valuation and are not shared with anyone.
Sharing of your personal information
We hire other companies to provide credit/debit card processing services. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the service. We take reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information. Details of these service providers are are available on request.
Accessing Your Personal Information
